- 2 days

EARN AN NCLC LASER CERTIFICATION WHILE YOU'RE HERE ........
Medical Laser Safety Officer, or Aesthetic Laser Operator.

ANSI STANDARDS REQUIRE "RECURRENCY" TRAINING ONCE EVERY FIVE YEARS AT A MINIMUM, BUT RECOMMENDED ANNUALLY. THIS ANNUAL UPDATE PROGRAM WILL MEET THAT REQUIREMENT FOR YOU.

This Update Course allows you to take ANY of our online courses in advance (up to a $695 value, but are included in this course fee), and then optionally take the NCLC Laser Certification Review & Exam at the course. -- see the course summary sheet.

Since Aesthetic Laser Operators need at least 24 hours of training in order to even qualify to take the Certification exam you may take our online Aesthetic Laser program for FREE prior to attending, in order to qualify for the exam.
Laser Safety Officers require at least 16 hours of training to take the Certification exam and you may take our online LSO program for FREE prior to attending, in order to qualify.

Those opting to take these free online programs in advance will receive their Certificates at the Update course itself, and if you don't attend then you will not receive your accredited certificate of training.

NOTE: You may attend either or both days at your discretion, but the price is the same. Credit hours on Certificates will be adjusted for the hours attended.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

ANNUAL UPDATE: Once a year we offer an "Update" course on Laser Safety, Aesthetic Laser, and offer any of the NCLC Laser Certifications. It's held in the Florida Keys. What better way to get "warmed up" after winter than to come to the fabulous Florida Keys.

This is a two day program that also meets the ANSI Z136.3 requirements for "Laser Recurrency" - suggested annually but required once every 5 years at a minimum. Keep your credentials up to date and meet ANSI requirements.

The two days are compressed "Cliff Notes" summaries of Laser Safety on day one, and Aesthetic Lasers on day two. Both offer the optional NCLC Laser Certification exams (included in course fee) for both LSO and Aesthetic Laser Operator (or others if you schedule in advance). The 1st day on Laser Safety is applicable to Physicians, Laser Safety Officers, Laser Operators, and Laser Repair Technicians. The 2nd day on Aesthetic Lasers is applicable to all of those, plus Aesthetic Laser Operators and aesthetic practice owners and managers. The compressed "courses" are held in the mornings, and the Certification Review session and testing in the afternoon of each day. You must meet the CE hours requirement in order to take the exams, and our online courses taken in advance will meet that requirement if you need it. The exams are optional, but included in the course fee if you wish to take them.

RE-CERTIFICATION for those already holding NCLC Laser Certifications: Anyone holding an NCLC Laser Certification (LSO's, Aesthetic Laser Operators, Laser Hair Removal Specialists, or Laser Repair Technicians) are required to renew their certification once every three years. You can do this by making application and meeting the continuing education requirements over the 3 years, or you can retest here at this update program and renew your certification for another three years. This year you'll be able to access an online LSO or Aesthetic practice exam prior to your attendance, which automatically grades your exam and shows corrections when you get one wrong. The content is very close to the actual exam.

RECIPROCITY FOR BOARD OF LASER SAFETY CERTIFIED MEDICAL LASER SAFETY OFFICERS: The BLS of the Laser Institute of America joined the NCLC for a few years to offer a joint CMLSO Certification. The BLS subsequently decided to withdrawal from that partnership and offered their own separate LSO Certification. If you have such a BLS Certification then the NCLC offers full reciprocity, at no charge, whether your BLS Certification is current or not. You can go online at www.LaserCertification.org to convert that, or you can come to this update program in the Keys to receive a new NCLC Laser Safety Officer Certification without testing and at no charge.

If you are pursuing an actual CERTIFICATION (not just the Certificate of Training from the update course) then review the requirements in the CERTIFICATION HANDBOOK

PRICING

$295 regular registration fee for the two day program. The price is the same regardless of sessions attended.
$195 fee for any alumni of our seminars or online courses. Show us your certificate or we can look you up in our database. When you register just put in the remarks box that you are an alumni, and then send us a copy of the certificate or ask us to look you up. If you'll be taking an exam, just say so in the remarks and which one (or both).
