Course Description:
This five day course is designed around the States requiring such
documented training, but is applicable anywhere. It teaches basic
laser science and safety (laser and IPL) as applied to Laser Hair
Removal and other cosmetic laser procedures, skin anatomy and
physiology specifically related to these types of treatments, and
patient treatment safety (a separate issue from laser safety). We
talk about all of the various types of lasers and the choice of the
laser based upon the procedure performed, and the patient's skin
type and hair color. This should be considered a cosmetic procedure
course for treatment of benign skin conditions, rather than a
medical dermatology course. It is directed toward non-dermatology
physicians, nurses, aestheticians or technicans. The Laser & IPL
application areas discussed in the course include Light based Hair
Removal, Nonablative Skin Rejuvenation, treatment of Benign
pigmented lesions and Red Vascular areas, Laser Tattoo removal, and
ablative and fractional skin resurfacing (performed by physicians).
The Texas course includes a day for CPR certification to meet that
State's requirements. No hands-on work is provided in this course. Please note that this course will meet all of the academic
requirements for Texas and Arizona. In Texas, a National Laser
Certification is also required for the highest level of provider.
This course works cooperatively with the National Council on Laser
Excellence (NCLE) to provide such State approved Certification
Exams.

Laser
Certification Information:
The various Laser Certifications offered
through the NCLE are voluntary professional credentials. They
are not a requirement to perform aesthetic laser procedures (State
licensing takes precedence), but do reflect a higher level of
knowledge to the holder of the Certification.
This course does qualify one to sit for the NCLE Aesthetic Laser
Operator Certification. You'll need to make application and schedule
an exam after the course.
Participants are encourage to download and read the
Laser Certification Candidate Handbook for details on the
CLO-A certification.
This National NCLE Certification is approved by the State of Texas
for their highest level of Laser Hair Removal Provider.

Refunds:
CLICK HERE for our full
refund policy. In a nutshell - cancellations may be made 30 days
or more in advance, and any course materials must be returned. For
cancellations between 30 days and 10 days out there will be a $75
cancellation fee. For cancellations 10 days or less prior to the
course date there will be no refunds, although the registrant may
reschedule for another course given within one year of the initial
course, and/or make any substitutions in personnel as desired.
