A MUST FOR LASER SAFETY
OFFICERS, LASER NURSES & OPERATORS, AND LASER PHYSICIANS! - ACCREDITED!
This manual was used as the Laser Biophysics and Safety Manual for the American
Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery for many years,
plus for training of
Laser Safety Officers and Biomedical Engineers, and for
Surgical Credentialing programs. Includes Illustrated Biophysics and Safety,
Laser Energy Concepts, Tissue Interactions, Clinical applications, ANSI
regulations overview, Laser glossary and more in Adobe
.PDF format. You must have Adobe Acrobat reader on your computer to run the
CD-ROM. Click on the icon below to download a free copy of Acrobat Reader
from Adobe on their website.
The advantage of putting the manual in .E-BOOK format
is that you get full color pictures in most of the illustrations and are
able to view short video clips of laser demonstrations or surgical
procedures. When you open the bookmarks tab in the navigation pane you'll be
able to quickly click to go to each section of interest. The links for video
clips are highlighted in yellow throughout the manual. It is a read-only
version of the manual, but the tests may be printed out for the Nursing
Credits. After completing the tests, mail or fax them back to us at
305-946-0232 for grading and to receive your certificate and up to 16.1 Nursing Contact Hours each of credit
for two people. You
can use this CD-ROM to pass to your entire staff for training and additional
credits and certificates for each individual for an additional fee - details are included in
the manual. This CD-ROM incorporates our Laser Home Study program as the
testing modules. A Certificate of Laser Training is provided when the tests
have been successfully completed and returned.
This E-BOOK is included FREE for attendees of our
2-3
day Laser Safety Officer & Aesthetic Laser Courses, and 7 Day Laser Repair programs.
It's also FREE with any of our In-House Laser Training programs.

This CD-ROM is for windows based systems. The video
clips are setup to identify the CD-ROM drive as drive "D" on your computer.
If your system's CD-ROM drive is labeled otherwise please call us and we can
burn a CD specifically for your system. When you put in the CD it should "autorun"
and display a window of the contents of the CD automatically. In addition to
the support files there will be three adobe acrobat files. Double click on
the one that says "Welcome - Start Here". This is the one page explanatory
letter that includes links to open the other two documents (The Laser
Manual, and the separate written tests for printing). If your computer is
not set to autorun CD's, go to "Run" on your command bar, then "browse" your
CD-ROM drive. Where it says the types of files to look for select "all
files". It should then display the able files and double click on the
Welcome file. The video clips within the manual use your windows medial
player for viewing and this is automatic when you click on them.
